Lifelong dem. Student of history. We are in v dark days. We have to start getting republican neighbors to call republican congressional representatives and demand impeachment. It’s the only mechanism

I appreciate with my whole heart the men I see marching on behalf of our world. Takes guts.

But you were there :) spread the word…it gives other men ‘permission’ to get involved too

I see it too when I’m in the streets and when I’m networking locally. ReSIStance. It really is wildly disproportionate the number of women who have are invested and showing up day after day, week aftwr week. Time for more men to step up. We're carrying a LOAD here.

Another busy day .Getting Patti off to her day program Dutton Farms !She loves the friends and all the animals .

She also volunteers at our library putting magazines in order. She also wipes down books in alphabetical order .

She has a friend who does a similar job .

Then when we are done we get a hot coffee or latte before we do errands and make dinner .

I check my Substack every morning when I have coffee and share with family and friends .We also make signs for the protest we go too .

Is it up to women to save the country? Seems that way!!

I’m thinking that there must be some conscious or unconscious conflict for “males”. Particularly white males. I’m not sure if they all care to see things as a lot of us do. It requires them to face the ugly truth that they may not want exactly the same thing as we do; equality. Obviously, just my hypothesis, but it seems plausible to me.

Thoughts??

This is one of the best observations I've read. We need to think about why this happened. Are women overly represented in protests in general? In general, was Trump largely elected by middle aged white male voters? Where were the young males? There are lots of questions to ask...

It’s an important observation, and point that you’re making Ellie.

I’d like to say that I greatly value and admire the courage and commitment of so many women to have come out to stand up and share their love for our country, and remind us all of the love and passion that is needed to keep this dream of America alive and healthy.

Let’s continue to stand together as we do this.

And thank you again for your own steadfast work to shine a bright light on what’s in H.R. 1 (the very naughty Brazen Bill) and bring this to everyone’s understanding.

This is real heroism!

Curious what it will be like today. TBH, I am afraid of beating a Trump supporter bloody. My rage is off the charts. My friends keep urging me to take my medication and hurting Trump supporters us being just as evil as they are.

Watching targeted assignations this morning helps tap down on my feelings of violence towards supporters of Trump. So, I am medicated and watching from home as all the other members of my family are out protesting.

My 40 yr old son, raised by a single mother, was with me. He’s 6’5” 220#. I didn’t marry until my children were heading to college. He was raised a feminist and knew he could do anything women could do. I’m pleased that he has remained friends with every woman he’s ever dated. He feels divorce, custody and child support rules are askew. That no parent should have custody if they don’t know the names and locations of their dentist, physicians, school, after school programs.

However, my husband, who thinks he’s a feminist…cannot understand why I’m upset when he leaves our urban doors unlocked. Why he should not let a woman leave the elevator first in a parking garage. He should walk first so they know where he’s going. He’s 5’11” 300#. I’m 6’ 175#. We have very different perspectives on life safety. He’s a physician, he’s clueless of his access. He is an immigrant, from Denmark, where equal rights have always existed. We share political opinions. However, he isn’t concerned about bodily autonomy. I’d guess it’s because he can’t imagine anyone telling him what he can and cannot do medically. It’s annoying as hell.

I protested in Salk Lake City’s last rally. It was great.

.

Observation: there were many more senior women in their 70’s and 80’s —-some of whom’s partners had died.

That, I think is some of the disparity. BTW I’’m almost 75.
